Hello Everyone!
Some reminders...
*This Friday is our Homecoming football game. We will have a pep rally that day! Students may wear green and gold colored clothing.
*Fall Festival is October 29th. If you have not sent in the permission form, please do as soon as possible.
*Poetry in the Park is Wednesday, November 10th at 8:30 a.m. I sent our class poem home today for your child to begin to memorize.
This week we will work on the following:
*Writing-Learning how to pick what to write about for our new personal narrative stories.
*Reading-We are reading stories in our new Voices reading book. We are talking about empathy and respect. We will finish Charlotte's Web this week as well.
Collection Vocabulary for the next two weeks is: hyena, plantains, empathized, divert, intense, shivery, trembles, hearth, trills, scrawny, rake, dribbles, resigned, crushed, handy
Wordly Wise Vocabulary: amaze, amazing, arctic, Arctic, court, elect, interval, league, limit, milestone, recreation, tackle
*Math-We are working on measuring to the nearest quarter inch and millimeter. We will also work with perimeter and area.
*Social Studies-We are beginning our unit on Native Americans in Florida.
