Happy Monday Everyone!
We greatly enjoyed our field trip to the Tampa Bay History Center last Thursday! The children were able to explore the center and view their extensive collection of artifacts, paintings, textiles, and documents  that date from prehistoric Gulf Coast Florida to the present.

This Thursday is Conference Day.  Some of the conferences are happening at alternate days/times.  Please see below for your scheduled time.

This Friday we will have a spelling test and a quiz over the book Stone Fox.

The new vocabulary words (to be tested on Feb. 14) are:
cable, cathedral, convey, device, freight, landmark, method, rod, shaft, structure

Also, Valentine's Day is coming soon.  We are having a Valentine box decorating contest.  Please have your child enter one of the following categories:  Funniest Box, Most Romantic Box, or Most Creative Box.  The box should be decorated at home (with your help if you wish) and brought in to class by next Thursday.  The box needs an opening for the Valentine cards.  Good luck, have fun, and there will be a prize for each category!
