Some school news:
The Relay for Life Cookout will be on Wednesday, February 15. There will be no Sage Dining offered on this day. Please let me know if your child will be ordering a hot dog lunch or if your child will bring their own sack lunch.
Class Picture Day will take place on the morning of Wednesday, February 29.
The Third Grade Program will take place on Friday, March 2 at 8:30 a.m.
The Oldie Goldie Book Fair will take place on Friday, February 24.
Field Day will take place on Friday, March 9.
Ident-a-Kid will be at Shorecrest on Wednesday, March 21.
Class news:
We started a new math unit that will focus on measurement.
Our current class novel is Stone Fox. Please ask your child what his/her favorite part is. There is a very surprising ending to the novel!
We are writing realistic fiction stories in Writer's Workshop, and the children continue to learn strategies that good readers use in our Reader's Workshop.
